This
annual breast and ovarian fundraiser was hosted by Revlon brand
ambassadors Jessica Alba and Jessica Biel, along with Jimmy Fallon, Dr. Mehmet
Oz and Nate Berkus. Recording artist and Grammy nominee Keyshia Cole rocked the
stage with a live performance and got the crowd energized and USA Network’s Matt
Bomer drove the Toyota Pace car to kick-off the race. The event started in Times
Square and finished in Central Park.

Programs & Initiatives

 

On April 30, 2011 in New York City, Revlon (NYSE
REV), Lilly Tartikoff, and the Entertainment Industry
Foundation celebrated the 14th Annual EIF Revlon
Run/Walk For Women today with over 20,000 runners,
walkers and spectators in attendance.

 

 

 

This annual breast and ovarian fundraiser was hosted
by Revlon brand ambassadors Jessica Alba and
Jessica Biel
, along with Jimmy Fallon,
Dr. Mehmet Oz and Nate Berkus
Recording artist and Grammy nominee Keyshia Cole
rocked the stage with a live performance and
got the crowd energized and USA Network’s Matt Bomer
drove the Toyota Pace car to kick-off the race. The
event started in Times Square and finished in Central
Park.

 

Money raised from the New York event will help
support local New York-based cancer organizations
including: The Actors’ Fund, Albert Einstein Cancer
Center, Cancer Care, Gilda’s Club NYC, Memorial
Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, National Coalition for
Cancer Survivorship, Ovarian Cancer National Alliance,
William F. Ryan Community Health Center, EIF’s Women’s
Cancer Programs.

 

The Run/Walk is a bi-coastal event.  The 18th
annual EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women in Los Angeles
takes place next Saturday, May 7th, starting
at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum at Exposition Park.

The EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women was launched in
1994 through the combined efforts of Lilly Tartikoff,
Ronald O. Perelman, chairman of Revlon, Inc. and EIF. 
Since inception, more than $60 million in grants have
been made from the combined events in New York and Los
Angeles, and that number will increase after the LA
event.

 

Proceeds from past EIF Revlon Run/Walks have funded
cutting-edge research, contributing to the development
of the breakthrough gene treatment Herceptin®
as well as other targeted therapies, bringing new and
innovative treatment approaches to women’s cancers
worldwide. Monies raised have also helped numerous
organizations in providing education, advocacy and
outreach services to those affected by women’s cancers.
