just launched their 3rd annual Battle for the Bands campaign
with Kelly Clarkson as thier celebrity
spokesperson. The campaign will run through April 26 in
partnership with the VH1 Save The Music Foundation and each year they engage tens
of thousands of teens in music education advocacy.
The campaign runs March 1st – April 26th. Teens take action by creating music
videos in 3 categories:
- Original music video. Create a video with your school or garage band and include
a message about the importance of music education.
- Parody. Change the lyrics to your favorite song to tell us why music education
- Voice. Use your words without performing by simply telling us why music
Celebrity and expert judges help select winners to receive grants for their
school music program and other great prizes.
