Cedric “The Entertainer” Hosted the Big Night

The Environmental Media Association awarded eight films and television programs for their outstanding contributions to environmental causes and green initiatives. Presented by Toyota and Lexus, the awards celebrated the organization’s 20th anniversary and were held Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles. The event also honored industrialist and entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson, renowned non-profit National Geographic Society, Centropolis Entertainment and musician Jason Mraz for their dedication to environmental causes. Host, Cedric “The Entertainer,” delighted the crowd with his brilliant comedic presence.

“The EMA Board and Staff would like to offer our sincerest congratulations to all the winners,” said EMA President Debbie Levin. “We have seen another year of new and innovative ways creators have raised environmental awareness, and are proud to support the entertainment industry in keeping issues that affect our planet front and center on our theater and television screens.”
