Peace and Healing after the 9/11 Attacks
Porter-Gaud School students created this mural to commemorate the 9/11 tragedies in New York City. Their mural was sent to New York, and hung in a center for the families of the victims at Pier 94 until the office closed. Rediscovered, it will hang in the 9/11 Memorial Museum at Ground Zero in lower Manhattan when it opens in September 2012.
The mural depicted the Twin Towers, first responders, the American flag, and other images symbolic of the strength and solidarity of the United States.
