On its mission to ‘bring Green together’, Earth-List is teaming up with The Green Girls to raise awareness of the actions people like YOU are taking to make a positive difference in the world. Both Earth-
List and The Green Girls are asking:
“Can thirty seconds change the world?”
We think it very well could. To find the answer to this question, Earth-List.com has launched a National Online Eco-Awareness Video Contest started September 15th. The contest is free to enter and is open to individuals of all ages. The challenge is to submit a thirty second video addressing the following question:
“What do you do on a daily basis to help make the Earth a better place?”
The initiative encourages anyone with access to any form of video recording device (mobile phone, web-cam, hand held devices, professional video cameras, etc.) to contribute their special way of giving back and reducing theirs, as well as others’, carbon footprint. As simple as it may sound, the philosophy behind this contest is to allow anyone and everyone an opportunity to show the world how they are making an effort towards a more sustainable future. The goal is to facilitate change by giving viewers the opportunity to learn and apply those positive behaviors into their own lives. Therefore, the greater the participation, the greater the impact we can make as a whole towards creating a more environmentally conscious society.
Earth-List’s platform partner, Skillcount.com, will be hosting the contest on their proprietary video rating and viewing web interface. Skillcount.com enables registered users to submit their content onto their site while also allowing viewers to rate the videos on a scale from 1-5. The winner will be awarded an Apple iPad, but more importantly, their contribution may be just enough to help change the world!
Hurry, the contest ends on November 15th!
