Sweet Home Alabama

Monday, 27 July 2009 10:17 by Meghan

Alabama Chanin, the lifestyle company founded by Natalie Chanin,  takes "Made in the USA" to a new level with an array of slow design products for the home and body.

Devoted to sustainability, most of the products are made with a combination of organic and recycled materials. Each piece is hand-crafted by local artisans with many pieces of the collection being limited edition that are numbered and signed by the artisan who made them. These artisans meticulously craft the Alabama Chanin pieces, which are all works of art that preserve Southern traditions and the culture of community.

In addition to creating hip, sustainable American-inspired creations, Alabama Chanin is serious about keeping the art of hand-sewing and quilting alive. Through intimate workshops, retreats and writing, they are sharing their knowledge and passion.
