Green is the new black for prom this year, or is it blue?!
Ally Maize walks the walk!
Until recently, Earth-friendly formal dresses conjured visions of hemp hippie gowns and burlap sacks. This hot new young designer, Lindee Daniel of Puridee is making eco- fashionistas everywhere look gorgeous and chic!
Puridee’s dresses feature innovative fabrics, fashion-forward designs, and couture details. The fabrics are ethically sourced and hand-colored using dyes made of plants and minerals. Gowns are constructed and hand-finished in Los Angeles, California.
The dresses have a luminous sheen and luxurious texture that come from their high-quality peace silks, called ahimsa and tussah.
Sustainable formal dresses are made of Fair Trade and/or organic materials, ensuring that the Earth and the people who manufacture your gown have been considered.
Puridee was a scene-stealer at a recent Los Angeles fashion show for emerging sustainable designers. This indigo-hued gown was the crowd favorite!
