On Sunday, Nov 9th, the great chefs of LA will be celebrated at CBS studios for the 22nd Annual Great Chefs of Los Angeles event. With the National Kidney Foundation of Southern California as the beneficiary of the event's proceeds, the celebration was taken to a whole new level of excellence by going green & organic!
Kidney disease survivor, George Lopez & his adoring wife Ann Lopez are hosting the bash. "After receiving the gift of life, a kidney transplant from my loving wife Ann in 2005, we joined forces with the National Kidney Foundation in the fight against kidney disease," says George Lopez. "Our goal has always been to spread awareness about preventative measures against the disease and the need for organ donation. Both Ann and I are excited to support the foundation in their latest mission to host green and eco-friendly events, starting with the Great Chefs of Los Angeles, because we cannot improve the health of our community unless we also take steps to ensure the health of our planet for future generations."
Celeb attendants include Andy Garcia, Brooke Burns, Dominique Swain (“Lolita”), Aimee Garcia (“George Lopez Show”) and Belita Moreno (“George Lopez Show”).
